Hamburg has already introduced restrictions on diesel vehicles, and more German cities are expected to follow suit.
To help drivers and operators plan accordingly, the Green-Zones app has been updated.
The app gives information on environmental restrictions throughout Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France and Germany, and five more countries will follow in 2018.
In all of these nations, environmental badges must be purchased or vehicles must be registered prior to entering specified zone. The app shows exact regulations, including maps, and the daily updated status.
