The CDC Tourism Yearbook is the ultimate planning tool for organising coach tours and excursions. The 2020 edition is flying off the shelves so grab yours quickly
For decades now the CDC Tourism Yearbook has had the reputation for being “the coach drivers’ bible – and this year’s edition is no exception.
With all the need-to-know information for planning and carrying out a coach tour the 500+ pages contain a UK and Ireland section as well as a European section covering some of the most coach-friendly cities on the continent.
And if you’re looking for inspiration for your next day out there’s lots of information about upcoming group-friendly events in 2020.
Tracey Harrison, CDC Manager, says: “It’s important for drivers and tour organisers to know that where they’re taking groups is coach- and group-friendly – and that’s one of the best things about the Yearbook.
“It’s a one-stop-shop for the most up-to-date coach parking information and group-friendly attractions and destinations details.”
Definitive planning directory
The UK and Ireland section of the Yearbook is split into regions and provides coach parking details for towns and cities, listings of destinations, visitor attractions, meal stop locations, coach drop-off and pick-up points, and other points of interest.
The European section includes the coach parking information as well as each city’s must-visit attractions – making for indispensable reading when it comes to finding inspiration for itineraries.
CDC members can purchase the Yearbook for just £18.99 (£32.99 to non-members). Drivers can join the Coach Drivers’ Club for free.
Headed up by a team that is passionate about the coach and bus sector, the CDC understands the significance of coach drivers’ contributions to the industry, and the importance of enhancing their status and professionalism throughout the UK.
Martha King, CDC Membership Executive says: “The Yearbook is the definitive planning directory for the coach tourism industry. It is a mammoth task each year and it is important that we get it right so that we are providing an up-to-date and beneficial resource to our members.”
The Coach Drivers’ Club
Annual membership to the Club is free and with this, members receive a welcome letter, a membership card, access to the password-secured sections of the CDC website, and they can also view online editions of the Club’s monthly magazine – CDC News.
Available either online or in print, CDC News keeps drivers informed on the news affecting them and the coach industry in general.
Adds Martha: “As well as news, features in the magazine cover a variety of topics, from legal advice, product reviews and court reports, to interviews with CDC members and destination pieces that focus on a particular coach-friendly location.
As well as these publications, the CDC’s website includes industry-related news, full details of all the member benefits, and a search engine to find out coach parking details.
