MAN has delivered its first Euro6c Neoplan Tourliner; the technical specification that meets the latest and most-demanding on-board diagnostics (OBD) Euro 6 requirements.
The 49-seater Tourliner Select Plus is the second MAN that North Wales-based Unicorn Travel has taken, for its four-strong fleet.
It was the lack of sufficiently sophisticated technology that led to the agreement between engine makers and legislators that Euro 6 would arrive in three phases – A, B and C – running up to an all-vehicle inclusion on 1 January 2017
MAN is the only manufacturer using the 6c designation, although all comply with the legislation.
Unicorn’s owner Kevin Carroll says: “We bought our first Tourliner two years ago, used, and when we came to buy a new one we knew what we would be getting and it was at the right price.
“Working with MAN, all our service needs for the last two years have been met by AN Richards in Llangollen, and all the repair and maintenance will continue to go there. We have enjoyed great service through AN Richards.
”We were also able to purchase the coach through MAN Finance, so we have benefited from the complete package.”
